In addition to performing and creating at Second Stage8 year old Sarah Dube of Cumberland has written her own song, performed in Encore Kids, Annie Jr., has received a featured role in Encore Kids, Scrooge the Musical, and will also be performing in Encore Repertory Company’s presentation of Willy Wonka. Eleven year old Marissa Liotta of Cumberland has written, directed and performed in her first original one act play: A.A.A.H. It’s Jealousy at Second Stage, and has received a feature role in Encore Kids, Scrooge the MusicalEight year old, Abigail Goncalves of Cumberland, became a Junior member of the RI Children’s Chorus; Eleven year old Brianna Raymond, of Cumberland won gold in the 2009 Access Broadway National Completion for her vocal solo; Popular, from the Broadway Show, Wicked .Sixteen year old Erin Wood of Lincoln, 2007 winner of Talent America’s Regional Competition, wrote and performed in her own solo show: The Many Faces of Erin Elizabeth last Saturday at Second Stage Studio. Her special guests were sixteen year old Jimmy Fitzgerald of Lincoln, and Marissa DeGirolamo of Taunton, both students at Second Stage. On October 25th Second Stage Studio will present an original one act play by Eleven year old Abigail Weiner of Cumberland titled: 350/Who Will Save Earth? Thirteen year old Amanda J Pannone of Cumberland, created the jewelry worn by the cast in Second Stage Studio’s presentation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, andten year old Jaycee Love Colombo of Cumberland combined various flute pieces and created and played her first musical score for this presentation in July,2009. It should also be noted that Abigail and Megan Weiner of Cumberland, cast members of A.A.A.H. It’s Jealously, created the jewelry worn for this play…We could go on and on…The mission of Second Stage Studio is to: Cultivate a thirst for learning through the creative arts. We believe that all students deserve access to the rich education and understanding that the arts provide, regardless of their background, talents or disabilities and that an arts education enrichment program can help develop self esteem, self discipline, cooperation, and self motivation necessary for success in life. So come and create with us!
