350 Who Will Save Earth?  is a one act play written  by 11 year old Abigail Weiner, a student at North Cumberland Middle School,  the play focuses on a group of students who ban together and take on a group of scientists who are planning to construct an underground city by finding other ways to save earth.  In her play, Abigail compares the earth …to a patient who goes to the doctor and hears that he or she is ill.   But if the patient listens and makes the necessary changes needed, the patient can recover.  The earth can recover if we ban together and do what is necessary to save our environment…The students then offer fifty one ways that each of us can do to slow global  warming by cutting carbon emissions.  And when confronted by the angry scientists , the students cite Christopher Steiners’ book, Twenty Dollars Per Gallon; “How the inevitable rise in the price per gallon of gas will change our lives for the better.”  The play ended with a song written by Marissa Liotta titled:  One Voice. Marissa is also a student at North Cumberland Middle School.

One Voice

I only have one voice,

Not powerful at at all

Not enough you say

To change the world.

But I know that one voice

Can change the world

I tell you

Now we have two.

Repeat that and you’ll find

That we have a powerfull voice

United by one cause

One voice!

One reason!

One force!

Only one mission.

When I stand alone

I will fall,

But with everyone here

Someone will catch me!

Cause we have

One Voice!

One reason!

One Force!

Only one mission

To save the world!
